Canolfan Gerdd William Mathias has a team of over 40 freelance tutors who work regularly with us.
This includes 1:1 tutors on various instruments and the voice, together with tutors for community activities (Including Music Steps, Canfod y Gân (Discover the Song), Doniau Cudd (Hidden Talents), Community Orchestra etc.).
In addition, we work with a number of freelance musicians on an occaional basis through our harp and piano festivals, master classes, workshops and various concerts.

We organize free professional development and well-being events for our freelance tutors during the year.

Development Plan for Young Music Tutors aged 18-25:
As a result of receiving funding from the Recharge, Youth Music fund we are able to offer paid mentoring opportunities to young musicians aged 18-25 who are keen to develop a career as freelance music tutors.
