Kiefer Jones first received classical voice training at Bangor University with Marian Bryfdir.
Since graduating with a first-class honours degree in music Kiefer works as a freelance singer/voice teacher, lecturing in voice and performance for Coleg Menai across North Wales.
During September 2017 Kiefer began studies at the RWCMD, Cardiff under the tuition of baritone, Donald Maxwell. Kiefer attended Glyndebourne’s prestigious academy course for young singers in 2017.
Kiefer is a team captain for Only Boys Aloud working with Tim Rhys-Evans and leads the Tenovus Cancer Care choir based in Bangor. Alongside teaching work Kiefer enjoys regular engagement with the WNO Education department’s ‘Come and Sing Carmen!’ workshops singing the Toreador aria.
In 2018 Kiefer performed his first professional role with Opra Cymru, (Dr. Malatesta in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale). Following this he was nominated for the Gus Christie Award from Glyndebourne. Kiefer will sing Aeneas for Mid-Wales Opera this spring.
